It’s a scary world we live in, especially when we are bringing children up in it. I agree that a lot of problems come from bad parenting and/or the absence of it at all. I really don’t understand why some people had kids at all. Luckily, the kids in our family seem to be doing pretty well, but the majority of kids don’t seem to be so lucky. I’m petrified to let Lauren grow up and I know I will be the same exact way when it comes to letting her ride her bike off our street or sleep over a friends house. I can’t even imagine it! I remember when I got my permit my Dad told me, “Its not you that I don’t trust, its all the other drivers.” I think this is so true in so many aspects of life. I hope to God that Lauren is a decent kid, but how do I know what her friends are really like and what they are doing. I just hope by that time she will have a GPS chip installed like my dogs do so I can keep an eye on her!! LOL! But seriously, it was so different when we were growing up and I’m not really sure what or who’s to blame. But it sure is scary!
